Re-use & adaptation
The following projects are those that show the potential of existing buildings to be adapted and re-used for alternative uses. Here we have a meeting foyer/function space, a visitors centre/cafe and artist studio.

Wain House - Hellens
The Wain House is in the care of
a Charitable Trust with the objectives of
preserving and restoring the property for the
benefit of the public, providing facilities for
community events, education and performances. |
Croome
Park Visitors CentreThis
site contained existing structures that formed
the hospital to Defford air base, built in 1942. The first phase of work has provided a
reception area, toilets, exhibition space and a large
canteen. |
Dovecote - Hellens
This distinctive octagonally shaped dovecote, built in 1641 and grade II listed has been included as part of the artistic & educational development programme at Hellens. |
